Hey PHS family! My name is Austin Lucas and I am thrilled to be teaching TV Broadcasting and Career Prep for another year at Prattville High School. After being the professional world for almost 4 years, I started teaching at PHS in January of 2022 and fell in love with it right away! I am really looking forward to making this the best school year ever with my students!

After graduating with a Media Studies degree from Auburn University (War Eagle), I was able to start my career after college as a photographer/videographer with Costar which is the #1 commercial real estate information company. After college I also started dating my wonderful wife who inspired me to be a teacher in the first place. Being at Costar allowed me to learn many things in the professional world that I can't wait to share with my Career Prep and TV Broadcasting students!

It is very important to me to strive for excellence in everything we do and I enjoy showing students the "why" we are going over something to show them the importance of it. However, it it most important to me that I show students how much I care about them and their education. I can't wait to get the school year started!
