Hi! My name is Laura Johnson, and I’ve been working in education for 12 years, with the last 5 years focused on special education. I’ve also worked in RTI and as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), which has given me a strong foundation for supporting students in a variety of ways.

I earned my teaching degree from Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM), and I truly love what I do. Helping students grow, learn, and succeed is the best part of my job!

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, going for walks, watching wildlife, and spending time with my family. I’m married, have four kids and two grandsons, and our house is always full—with one dog and five cats keeping things interesting!

I’m excited to be part of your child’s journey this year and look forward to working together to make it a great school year!
