Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a stay-at-home mom for 13 years. When I became a widow, I decided it was time to return to work and pursue what I truly love—teaching!

I am blessed with two grown children. My son is a swim coach in Richmond, Virginia, and my daughter is a Special Education teacher at Prattville High School.

Our family also includes four furry friends—two cats and two dogs! I enjoy spending time with my children and family, reading, and repairing old furniture. And, of course, I love to read some more!

I am an Auburn graduate and a “dye-hard” Auburn fan! I love all things Auburn and proudly bleed orange and blue! 🧡💙
